Not sure if it can help you...

For customised door and window markers, I've been using the old Detail-Marker 70 library part (which was included in archicad library up to version 7).

I find it useful, in that I can change the shape of the outline (eg. circle for windows, hexagon for doors & triangles for gates). It's also useful in that it gives me space for 2 lines of info (type & position). Not sure where it's disappeared to as a standalone object. Unfortunately it's not linked to the specific door or window.

I'm sure with some more gdl knowledge, you can edit it.

regards
The same way you would change markers on existing windows. Ctrl-A, then in window selections settings, click the Dimension Marker tab and select the new marker.

That much you probably already knew.

How to make a custom window marker is probably what you wanted to know. I do not know how to do that, but I whish I did. I hope someone will tell us if that can be done, and how to do it.

It's not hard. You will need to learn some GDL to do it though. You may want to spend some time with the "Object Making" book to get a handle on the language, so you can make the marker the shape you want.

The text is a pretty simple command:
TEXT2 0,0, GLOB_ID
, but there is a lot of formatting that goes along with it.
