Trouble Ungrouping onto subgroups in AC9

It used to be possible in AC8 to make groups of smaller groups, and then break them apart into the original sub-groups.

On AC9 now, when ungrouping a large group containing smaller groups, it all breaks into single lines, defeating in fact, the whole idea of grouping.
Hope the old feature has not disappeared ! , since really usefull for 2D work.

If anyone has figured this one out, would appreciate the info.

Cedric,
It works fine on PC...not sure about Mac. What platform are you using?

I can group a pair of grouped objects,then ungroup and the original grouped pair is still grouped - is that what you mean?

Wow how many times can you put group into one sentence?

ps: Pop your computer / archicad detail in you signature via the profile button on page. This stops people having to ask.
