I have tried and tried, but can not figure out how to make a stair show on a story level other than it's home story. I am sure there is a (simple) way to do this, but I can't find it.</T>

That just puts it on the indicated level. I would like the stairs to show on multiple levels, similar to "show on stories" for roofs.

I think Img references a url. I always use the Add an Attachment function which appears below the text editor when you are composing your post.
So, once you allow it to be listed on however many stories, it only shows it in plan? I don't understand, I want the stairs to repeat up like how you would define an elevator's height in stories.

When it does this, it doesn't show it in 3D. Do I have to go in and add in a stair every level? If so, why don't I just put one level as a trace underneath? Right now the stair looks like a regular object on all the other floors (in plan) but it doesn't actually show in 3d. What's up?

Thanks

Thanks

- Yes, copy/paste as necessary
- trace underneath is not going to show in 3D, nor in section, elevation or details. That is not the purpose of the trace tool
- It doesn't show in 3D because there is only one copy, in one place

- The elevator tool is another object and it behaves differently, learning AC is finding what is different and similar between the different tools.

Sometimes the differences and similarities will make sense, sometimes not but they did make sense at one point in time even if that was 15 years ago. Welcome to the club.

An elevator is a single entity. A stair connects two stories -- if you have more than two stories to connect, you need additional stairs.
