Trimming to wrong roof

I am putting together a set of plans with a second floor shed roof. It is over a garage with a first story roof. When I use "trim to roof", it trims the wall down to the lower roof. Anyone know why this is happening?

Unless you select specific roof(s) that you want involved in the trimming, then all roofs that touch your wall are considered. With a shed dormer side-wall, you'll want to select the lower roof and trim the bottom, then select the upper roof and trim the top.

When I try to trim bottom of wall...it is selecting the upper roof......how annoying

Try selecting both the wall and the roof you want it to trim to. That should work.
