This forum is great!

I would like to say thanks to everyone on this forum who contributes their time and effort to help others with problems they may have with Archicad. In my time of working with Archicad it has proved to be priceless.

I am now switching jobs, and as a result, switching software. I wanted to take the time to thank everyone for their help.

Ok, so its not a new job really - just a different employer.
Sofware = Revit

I'm guessing that would have been "Changing careers", not "changing jobs." (Admit it Dwight, you're just racing for 3000 posts!!)

Yeah, I know - that was a requisite of mine when looking for another job. Some employers said they used ADT and I thought that wouldn't be so bad, but when I interviewed they obviously just use it like Autocad with blocks. *shudder*

Anyway, I also get to relocate to beautiful Ft. Collins, CO. I can't say I'm going to miss Wisconsin too much!

I'd agree, that is an improvement!!

Well, good luck at the new firm. I'm sure your Archicad skills will help you pick up Revit faster.

What firm in Ft. Collins? There are several in that area doing work in Revit.

Yeah, thats kind of why I was looking in the Ft Collins area. I'm working for a guy named Matt Rankin, he used to work for Vaught Frye but then started his own business. He's 100% Revit which is nice - no turning back!

Which firm? I know there were a couple in the Denver area that used Archicad. I think one of the big ones that I was looking at was Klipp.

Wow, small world. I love Denver as far as big cities go, but I think I'll be staying away from the big cities for awhile. I know this is an Archicad forum, but the opportunity to work with Revit is exciting - I'll finally be able to give a valid opinion on both after working in a real world in environment with them.
