Use the W Splayed Reveal from the standard library on top of your existing window.

There was a splayed reveal by Dwight in one of the Forums ... have to admit that I don't remember where.

<T>Hey everyone,
this problem seems like it should be too simple to be bothering with, yet i'm stuck.
I'm modelling a simple window in a wall, but i want one side of the internal window return to be angled, with the other right-angled as normal (see attached file) - how exactly do you achieve this?

I tried a few different things like drawing a free-form wall but that won't take a window so i'm not really sure how i'm meant to do it as it'll probably change quite a bit during development and i dont want to make the whole wall as an object.

grateful for any tips,
Thanks for that, it seems to be what i'm looking for - but as ever, it leads to another problem -

is it possible to change the angle of the splay on each side separately so that i can have them at different angles?

Also, when using the W Splayed Reveal, on plan it appears fine but on the model it does not appear as splayed, and when i change the Side Angle parameter in the properties it seems to adjust the width of the opening as opposed to the angle of the side splay. Any ideas whats going wrong?

I seem to have figured out the above problem with the Side Angle adjusting the width of the opening - i had the top and bottom angles set to 0degrees, when i give them a value >0 the sides seem to spring into life too.

Does anyone know if theres a way around this and also if its possible to adjust the side angles independently as i still havent figured that one out yet?

cheers.
