You can move origin around as necessary, when Fill Handles set to "show" in display options. Just pick it and drag it to where you want.

fill origin question

<T>Just wondering. Is it possible to reset fill origin after placing it? This question concerning regular fills as well as the one attached to slab/roof/mesh. I was thinking about something like we have regarding texutre placement.

Greetings to all late-night-workin'-ArchiCADers</T>

Pawel,

Do you mean going into settings and selecting "Link to project origin" radio button? (instead of Link to fill origin). It can be done on surface fills also.

Nearly lunch time here.

I know that but I was asking how to reset it after this operation. For example: bathroom with tiles everywhere, I make a floor with slab tool and attached fill of custom tiles to it, origin starts, let say, in the corner. Then I decide to reshape the floor (slab) and origin goes to hell, so question is can it be reset like the texture or the only way is to make new one?

The end of the fill handle with the X can be relocated to position the fill's origin, the other end can be repositioned to set the fill's orientation.

Remember, the fill's origin must be set to 'Link to Fill Origin' to do this, other it will simply be set straight to the origin of the project.

Cheers,
