There is nothing preventing you from putting an URL in a PDF file and linking that to some external, but better suited format or a webpage with a model inside. Wirefusion-technology as an example can generate it as a Java applet, which makes it very portable.
Excellent question! I'd like to know as well.
hi,

has anyone seen a pdf-file with included 3d content?
I think, this will be optimized for showing objects (cars, shoes ...) and not high poly models like buildings created in archicad.

but if it is able to show buildings with walk through method in acceptable speed, this will be interesting, because acrobat reader is widespread.

best regards
U3D is great!

As it is, models and plans in ArchiCAD have to be converted into AutoCAD (.dwg) or Microstation files to work with all of the features of the Acrobat Pro and U3D.

As a bare minimum I would like to have the same ability with ArchiCAD as is already available with AutoCAD and Microstation for the Adobe Acrobat Pro.

I think the Adobe Acrobat Pro is the ultimate tool for document organization, review, and printing. I can not think of anything that would enhance ArchiCAD more that having the ability to work with it.

Imagine if we could import .pdf's into ArchiCAD drawings.

How long will it be before Adobe comes out with a CAD program of its own that is fully integrated into the entire line of Adobe products?
