topic Editing Walls in Modeling

<T>Is there a way to edit an extraneous element to a wall (visible more in elevation view) like in Vectorworks? I have a wall (dwg created by someone else) trimmed to a roof to a simple gable form that has an element that jogs outward a few inches almost like a tab halfway down the vertical edge of the wall and then continues down to the floor level. I have no idea how one would even create a wall shape like this in ACAD but I'm pretty green here. It shows up as odd lines of course on the construction documents that I am trying to prepare.

What is the best way to get rid of this? There does not seem to be very much in the way of editing a wall in in elevation view as I'm used to in VW-Is solids elements operations the only way that one can perform an edit like this to a wall?

I have tried to pull the wall back and then join to the adjacent wall again , as well as undo roof trim and then trim again to no avail.

Thanks for any help.

Update! Scratch that. Triming and untrimming the roof fixed it.

Save those friendly and knowledgable responses for my many other newbie inquiries.
