<T>I'm sort of confused with the new cut plane thing. I have cut plane set to 4 feet on a particular story. I have a window that is entirely above the four foot cut plane at eight feet. How do Iget it to show up.

Also, have some low windows below the four foot line. If I raise the cut plane to show the upper window, how do I get it to show the lower window in the floor plan?</T>

Doors and windows have a Floor Plan Display setting option called Symbolic. It shows the D/W in AC9-style independent of the FPCP.

IMO this is the best default setting for D/W. As you've seen, you can use Projected to hide a high window, without resorting to high walls and such.

Does not work for me. Still does not show the high windows above the cut plane.

Aha, the wall also needs to be Symbolic, which means 'Own Story Only' as well.

can i handle the cut plane horizontally ??
for example: on the 1st floor to an infinite depth but for the above floors just to to a depth of 12',,, is this possible??
sorry, wrong thinking...i was thinking about the 'section tool' and a "selectable" depth per floor

The FPCP is saved with each view, so it can be unique for each view. Thus, you can have two different views of your first story, and/or different FPCP for each individual story.
