I am curious whether anyone has seen reduced performance with AC11 after install of this Hotfix. I installed this yesterday morning and yesterday and today AC has been running quite slow.
As has been the case with previous Hotfixes, Cadimage have advised their NZ customers not to install this hotfix as yet. I assume this is so they can check any discrepancies with their tools and make sure it all works OK before they give the go-ahead.

I will let you know when advised otherwise.

Does anyone have problems with Hotfix and java 6? Some of our machines installed the Hotfix easily but some machines keep aborting the install and giving an error message. We think it might be the version of Java currently installed on each computer (does that sound right?).
Actually, the bug with the installer is a known issue with InstallAnywhere, which is what the ArchiCAD installers (and hotfixes) are made using. Macrovision(makers of InstallAnywhere) are working on the issue now, but have not announced any dates for release of a fix. This is the same bug that is causing a delay in the installers for CadimageTools.
In the meantime, you can uninstall the problem Java version from your 'Add/Remove Programs' dialog in windows. Just uninstall 'Java version 6, update 5'. Of course, uninstalling and re-installing ArchiCAD will do the trick also, as the ArchiCAD installer contains an older version of Java that actually works properly.

running Mac OSX 10.5.2
and it comes up with an error just as it starts to install. From the log file it generates there is mention of Java so I'm guessing this is the same Java problem.

Anyone else hit this problem on a Mac?
I suppose you're right though GS did post Hotfix 1114 --and all previous builds, AFAIK-- to that site as soon as they were ready (sometimes <S></S>before<E></E> they were ready). It would be nice if they posted updates to a site that supported RSS. Or maybe built into ArchiCAD an automatic version checker like Adobe (but hopefully better than Adobe's).

Doesn't this already exist? I'm pretty sure I've had a window telling me that Archicad isn't up to date come up before. Although it might just be for the Archicad library update, in which case it would make sense for it to be for all updates.
I agree about the RSS thing - although all updates now seem to be announced on the Archicad + forum any way.
