topic Automatic door numbering or manual in Modeling

<T>I found a marker (Door Marker_NCS) that will list the room and door ID. The marker we currently use (Door Marker 10) does not have that option but you can move it around a little easier with the hotspots.

Is this the only option I have? I take it the door ID is used for the A,B or whatever if there are 2 doors opening into the same room. To use it in our schedule, I guess I have to use the parameter from that door marker object to show up in the ID.

Will there be any unforeseen problems that will occur if we change over to using this way of labeling our doors? Can all doors pick that marker to use?

Thanks,
Yes.
Maybe. It depends on how your door schedule IS is defined.

The subject of having door identifiers automatically pick up the Zone number has been discussed many times on this forum. One drawback is the the door will be assigned the number of the Zone it swings into, which may not be desirable. Our standard practice is to number doors manually -- not automatic, but a lot easier to control.
