Opening old drawing files

I have archived drawing files from a previous person in the office a few years ago I must open, to amend drawings for building.

I am unable to open them in ArchiCAD version 11 nor version 7.

I suspect that they may have been drawn on a Mac with archicad.

Is there any way in determining which platform or version the drawing file was created ?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Giuseppe,

From what you are saying, I can guess that you are on Windows platform. In this case, right - click on your file, choose "Properties" and then go to "Info & Preview" tab. There you should find all kind of informations, such as ArchiCAD version, platform, ...
