Again, Element(Component, Zone)List vs. Interactive Schedule

Hi again,
Posted this question end of last week with out any response, may be some one can help this week;
What is the advantage of Element (Component, Zone) List over Interactive Schedule. Interactive Schedule is easy to learn and implement were as Element (Component, Zone) List has not much documentation and appears very confusing. What is the difference between the two besides the one being interactive?
