For the VR object I just use a pale blue background to suggest sky. To get realistic clouds requires applying a panoramic texture to a big cyclorama. (Fly-throughs have the same problem)

I haven't tried this myself but I'm pretty sure others have. Dwight perhaps?

<T>I guess the subject says it all. Is is possible to do a VR object with a photorender background. As an alternative, what does everyone use for a background that looks decent? Just a solid color wall in a circle around the VR object. That really doesn't look too good.

I'd like to use any of the backgrounds that are in the library, not an actual site pic. I can see where you would need a panorama to be accurate; that's more than I want to think about right now.</T>

It is very possible. If you have Art•Lantis, you also have quite a few of the panoramic bnackgrounds.

There is also an article on ArchiGuide:
