Archicad 10 - modify object dimensions

Hi,
I have a small/BIG problem . I want to modify (numerically) the length of an wall and I don't know how.
I found in help file this: "Some dimensions, however, cannot be modified numerically (for example, the length of linear elements or edges),"
Anybody knows how to solve my problem?

Marian,
Turn on guidelines. Select the wall and stretch it using the
coordinate palette input for the angle and length you want.
After hitting enter, the wall will have the length you typed in the delta R field.
