Sorry I haven’t made an update…had some personal things to tend to…..yes there is a slight change in speed of S/R when working on a network and my personal lap top shows a significant change… but no affect on Plotmaker links though….they still lag…I would say give it shot...it wouldn't hurt...

<T>I was little puzzled about this one so I am giving it a shot and will report back or maybe you can join me in my little test. Unfortunately this is for window users only….if you type regedit under your start/run it will bring up you registry…so if you go to the following address

hkey_current_users/software/graphisoft/archicad/enginemain9/inputoutput…

you will see a setting called filecachesize… and it is set to 256….I wanted to see what would happen if I increased it to 512, 1024, or 2048…so far I have it set to 1024 and my s/r flies….I don’t know if this is a tweak but it my help in you s/r speed……just a thought….</T>

So... any results on this test? Any magic number or tweaks that will speed up loading of files and libraries?... maybe changing the v9 to a v10?...
