Matthew,
I could not agree with you more
and I have said so on several
occasions when people say they
don't like work-arounds.
The possibility of creating work-arounds
is one of the things I really appreciate
about Archicad.

<T>Paean to a Workaround

On this day so bleak and dreary
I feel myself get weak and weary
I can't get this project off the ground
The beach-ball just goes round and round

Every software has limitations
Leading to many grave frustrations
Seeking ways to get it done
Hitting walls is not much fun

I try and try but more and more
This process becomes an awful bore
But then I think another way
And it seems to turn a brighter day

The sun appears and makes me cheery
Things are working, not so bleary
Life goes on, good things abound
I found a useful workaround

- We all complain about workarounds, but what if there weren't any? One of the great strengths of ArchiCAD is the fact that there are so many ways to get the job done. In the end I care more about the final product than what it takes to get there.</T>
