What operating system are you on and where are you trying to save from?

I think you need to be in a plan window to "Save as" another version. Also, the Mac Intel AC10 does not have a save down ability.

<T>since we dont currently have artlantis studio, we're trying to save some of our current arch 10 files to arch 9 so that we save to artlantis 4.5. we cant find where to save back to arch 9 under the "save as" option. can anyone help with this issue?</T>

Also, the Mac Intel AC10 does not have a save down ability.

I found an "easy" workaround to this -- I happen to have a PowerPC copy of AC10 installed on my MacTel machine. If you open the AC10 file in this app, you can save down to AC9.

When I moved to the new machine I used Apple's migration assistant to move files from the old PPC machine, including the old apps. So for me this is an easy workaround -- if you aren't so lucky then I imagine you could just install the PPC version of AC10 for this sole purpose. In either case it is better than booting up the G4 or G5 every time you want to save down to 9.

Cheers,
There is a wiki Article covering this topic:
<LINK_TEXT text="http://archicadwiki.com/TechNotes/AC10_ ... sion_9_PLN">http://archicadwiki.com/TechNotes/AC10_Mactel_version_does_not_have_option_to_save_version_9_PLN</LINK_TEXT>

The bottom line is, ArchiCAD 9 would need to be modified to open Intel MAC files.
