You should not use zero thickness pens. Most printers and plotters are now capable of 600dpi or greater. This results in an almost imperceptible line weight and invisible dots. For extremely fine lines use 0.05 to 0.10mm. Fine lines range from 0.10 to 0.18mm. Dots require heavier pens to be visible than do lines.

<T>Running Arch9/plotmaker9 on Mac G4. Using Plotmaker9, fill dots and small marks will not print (lines in the fills print fine) unless i increase the pen size. In the previous version the exact same layout will print the dots (25% fill, concrete, etc.). Our work around is to change all our #1 pens from size 0.00 to .04 pt. This makes the pen size slightly larger and we have to change the pen sizes in the layout file to print any older layouts containing dot fills.

We've always assumed the #1 pens of 0.00 size basically defaults to the smallest printable line. Till this new version there hasn't been any problems.

Anyone having the same problem or other fixes?
Thanks,
Rob</T>
