I made the same transition, AC9 to AC10 on OS 10.4 without seeing this problem... maybe it's because I use "Plot" instead of "Print"? I don't know...

What kind of plotters/printers are you using?

<T>Since upgrading to ac10 lines have been fading. We have tiger os on both our intel macs and g5 macs. We have this problem when printing to any printer/plotter and from any one of the computers. This probelm also occurs when printing from the layout, the archicad window, or from a saved pdf. Any one else having this problem and have any troubleshooting advice?</T>

what i mean by fading is that the printed drawing has random areas that seam to look like ghostlines instead of the pen weight they're supposed to be. we haven't done anything different with any of our drawings since updating from ac9 to ac10.

Are they printing colors as greys? Maybe there was a change in settings that you aren't aware of. Do you use different pen sets in AC10?

we've printed on the hp laserjet for 8.5x11 prints, lanier lw310 for our 24x36 and larger const. docs., and hp 930 inkjet. the issue is the same for any of the printers we use to troubleshoot this problem.

we haven't changed pen colors in years. the fading happens to certain areas, not any particular pens. it's as if there's an empty fill or something in the way. we opened all the layers and made all fills and objects to have transparent backgrounds.

Anybody found a solution to this. The printing problem has just begun on our computers. Sounds like exactly the same problem.
