I got to see Archistair at the latest distributor meeting in Buda in April. Let me say one thing WOW

Well, it's already next month? What's the hold-up?... ...... I guess that's why you didn't want to say too much...

But on a more realistic side of things, I heard through the grapevine that much as I was hoping to have an all-inclusive ArchiCAD (one where "stairmaker" would work as it "should"), it appears that purchasing a stair add-on will not be a bad idea even with 9.0 (if I understand things correctly, the new stairmaker seems to be heading towards intelligent objects anyway).

Therefore, any idea when these ArchiStairs will be out? Any official release info? Is it worth holding out for it (time-wise) or should I just go with the next-best-thing?

The Stairmaker is GREAT!
I really like this promotion from Cigraph.
Thanks for a great product, and the tutorial is very well written. Makes me want to buy more plug-ins.

I imagine that's part of the idea. Once you've had the good stuff you'll keep coming back for more.

One thing puzzles me about the ArchiStair; whenever I activate the tool and click on one of the buttons, I get the Cigraph flash add, with the full selection of all of their plugins, any click on that window sends the browser to the Cigraph site. I have to cancel out of it to get to the atribute panel.
Is this the 'Price' of the free plugin? Or is this something that is unique to my configuration?
Has anyone had the same problem?

yes... this is the price for ArchiStair: it's a way to advertise our software.
You can click Cancel or simply click on the Return key and it will disappear.
