Need to create the profile first and then select it.

It does work with lines. Create the profile, then group the lines, select the group and then go to Profiler and proceed with either a rotation or extrusion.

Profiler Add on

<T>When I try to access the profiler via Design>Design Extras>Profiler
I get the following response: "For creating a Profiler Object please select the profile."

In class, when we went to the Profiler, I would get a dialogue box which allowed me to fill out Profiler Settings. This box does not appear on my computer at home. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

I am working on a new IMac.
My AC11 is Educational Version, updated to the last hotfix, Library updated, Goodies loaded, Accessory Library loaded.</T>

When you download Profiler from the Goodies site, the download includes a page of documentation on how to use it. <E>😉</E>

Now that we have profiles walls, beams and columns, the only reason to use the older Profiler add-on is if you need a rotated (swept) solid, rather than one extruded along a path.

Cheers,
Is the Profiler a Goody?
If memory serves, you need to select the profile first, then go to the menu command (of course, I haven't used the Profiler for a long while, so I may be mistaken).

Also remember that the profiler won't work with lines. Use a polyline or a fill to make the profile, highlight it then use profiler.
