Jessica,
"platform" refers to the machine you are using, ie Mac G4, Pentium IV, etc

We need to know what EDU version of Archicad you are using,
AC 8.0, AC 8.1, AC 9, or some earlier version.

AFAIK, the "recommended" install installs the complete EDU version.

Please post a screen shot of the Library Manager window
so we can see which libraries are loaded and which are missing.

I don't think the mesh issue involves missing libraries
but with more information maybe help is possible.

Thank you,

<T>Help! this problem has been hindering my progress with projects I am working on. This problem occurs on the school program I log into and on my home program which is a separate program. I am wondering if this problem is related to the libraries and possibly the shortage of some. my computer requests that I "add" aspects to the program before opening saved progress from the project worked on at school. Again, the mesh shows up as a wire frame in 3D and does not show up at all in the photo render!</T>

Jessica,
Please tell us:
What version of Archicad you are using.
What platform you are on.
What operating system you are using.

What exactly is the program asking you to do ?
What "aspects" is it asking you to "add" ?

Thank you,
It's the student version running on windows operating system. i'm not familiar with the term platform. do you mean computer model or capabilities. also i was thinking this problem could be occurring because i didn't do the full install of the program on my computer i just did the recommended. It's telling me that it can't find certain libraries, my teacher has told me that this is happening because i am working on the project in two separate places.
Thanks for helping.
Have you checked the status of the layer on which the mesh resides?
Is it so that the mesh layer is set to wire frame?

This was a new feature introduced in ArchiCAD 8, were by one can have elements appear in wire frame regardless of the 3D window state.

You can solve your problem by simply clicking on the model icon in the layers manager window (see attached image)

HTH.
Cheers.
