well 6600GT was one of the worst graphic cards for archicad. also it is a good idea to have a fresh windows installation if you have a long time since you have installed older versions of AC. unfortunately windows can get messed up by it self if they operate for long time. When you install a lot of software and especially software that use almost the same libraries like you have AC 9-10-11 the it can mes up easier.

<R>There is another AC11 bug. I just don't have enough time to post them all to the forum! This is how my screen looks from time to time. I suppose it has something to do with my graphic card, but it runs flawlessly with AC10 an AC9 on the same computer! So, let's not blame the card!

I will post some more bugs when I find time to open AC11. Now I am migrating my current projects to AC10, otherwise I will not be able to finish them on deadline!
The display bug might be related to the bugginess of the new "Trace-Reference" tool. My office uses very good graphics cards (nVidia QuadroFX 3500) and we have experienced display quirkiness when the "Trace-Reference" is activated. Be sure to log your bugs with GS tech support and/or your reseller so GS can prioritize the issue.

I have NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT graphic card, which performs rather well on my middle-aged computer. I have been having this computer for an year and a half and I will retire it as soon as I finish my two current projects. If I finish them with these bugs!

It works fine on my homecomputer with ATI Radeon but here at the office with an nVidia Quadro FX 1400 we got the same problems. I think it's a combination of bad code in AC11 and very bad code in graphic driver. An old driver to this card doesn't work to AC10 at all.

Hi, Pawel, I haven't switched it, because I didn't even know such a thing existed!

Perhaps we should all take classes in computer science with each new upgrade?! Or the resellers should organize such seminars: How to tweak Windows so the new AC could run on it!

please find a link http://www.archicadwiki.com/DirectX . My computer with ArchiCAD instalation have integrated graphic on the board (Abit nF2 nview, GeForce 6150), so you see it's basic configuration, but all working fine for me. Of course at first I upgrade my graphic card driver and switch off directx.

kliment,

I think that NVIDIA cards 6 & 7 series s*u*c*k.
There is a significant downgrading (huge delays) of 2D refresh on XP (panning and zooming) with NVIDIA 6 and 7 series when the organizer window is on.
I have sent a detailed description of our cards BIOS and drivers to GS already and as I know they are looking into it.

once again I reckon this sucks because of some 'improved' NVIDIA drivers

How are you attempting a 'Stretch' -- via the command, or via the pet palette? (If the later, make sure you have the Stretch button active).

Stretching was through the pet pallet and it did have the stretch tool selected. You can stretch the wall, and when you let go of the mouse click the wall snaps back to its origonal location. We have this happening on two different machines in two different files. seems to be a bit random.

This has occurred with an eperienced user and a beginner. The experienced user never uses snap tool. We attempted the same procedure with the trace off in a fresh boot. stretching worked fine. when trace was turned on with out changing any other settings, the snap back occurred. no matter how far you stretch. Then it continued to snap back after turning off trace until fresh boot again. But we will keep this in mind if it occurs again to check that snap is not on.
