<T>Hi,

I am trying to hide the existing roof (cross hatched) under the new roof (not cross hatched), but the stacking does not work, any reason why?

Also is there a way to show this lower part of the existing roof ONLY as dash line?
Thanks,
Joseph</T>

Yes, if the Diplay Order does not affect it, it is probably a problem with the cover fill's background pen for your roofs. Change it to pen 91 under, the Floor Plan tab.

Also check the bootom setting in your Display Options. Make sure the Fill's Background Color is set to 'By Element Settings'.

Cheers,
Thanks link, you did it again,

Is it possible to show JUST the hidden part of roof all in dash lines including the solid line cross hatch of existing roof below?
Thanks,

Kind of. You can make a fill that looks like thick diagonal lines. Set this to be your cover fill, making the foreground pen color 91 and the background pen color transparent. This gives everything beneath it a dashed appearance. This has been mentioned many other times, but in different scenarios. If my explanation doesn't cut it for you, try doing a search.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
