<T>Hi,
I've been meaning to ask this for some time...
Under "Tools", "Line Extras" is the "intersect" option. For years I have used this often enough that I long ago customized my windows toolbar with a shortcut icon.

Somewhere along the line since the advent of AC8 the option to have "intersect" put on the windows tool bar as a graphic shortcut was deleted. It is also not possible to create a shortcut key for it.

Or am I missing something here?
(wouldn't be the first time)</T>

I'm not sure about Windows, but on the Mac Version, you can create a shortcut for any Menu Pull-down command. You just select the "folder" it's in on the Customize - Keyboard Shortcuts menu, and you should be able to see it.
Tom,
I have been through the keyboard shortcuts creator many times and just reviewed it again.

It is in front of my face, but where?

I have been throught each item on all the tabs and I am not seeing anything for "line extras" or "intersect". Could you or someone on windows perhaps post a screen shot so I can see what is front of me that I am not seeing?
(can't see the trees for because the forest is in the way...)
thank you

In the tab for "menu commands" go down in the menu pull down until you see "TOOLS" after tools you will see "-line extras" select this one and in the command window you will then see "intersect"

Erika:

ejrolon was correct. But you have to go to "Open Keyboard Shortcuts" first, and THEN go to Menu Commands tab. You'll see a "Menu" drop down box. The Line Extras are there, just under "Tools". Just select the Line Extras line (not Tools) and you'll see the commands ready to have shortcuts assigned.
