Do you maybe have a circle within the ellipse?

Be sure to place the Magic wand on the ellipse's edge when clicking.

You must admit that that lack of circular and elliptical fills is a glaring omission within the drafting tool set.

You can draw a circular now. Not starting from the center, though ...

I have noticed the circular fill in the elipse before. It has usually been occurred when I am working in a very small elipse, which judging by the stud to its left, is the case here. Even if this detail is 3" = 1'-0", (large for imperail dimensions), you porbably won't notice it.

If I am not mistaken, the differnece is caused by the tolernces set for the magic wand. The lenght of the arc segments is longer than the angle of the line between the middle of the right side and the topmost point.
Ask yourself,
Will you notice the difference when printed?
If the answer is yes, then you can add node(s) to points along the fill and then adjust the fill to the elipse more fully.
If no....then don't worry about it.

thanks..where can i set the tolerance for the magic wand?
what i did in order to get the drawing printed, i used the polygon to draw over the ellipse to be filled. it is so time consuming!
