Peter: I followed your steps and i've done it!

Thank you.

my chair has to be low poly because i have 1500 chairs in the project and i don't want to ruin the computer so it's a low poly nice chair 😛
Intersection operation

<T>Hi,
I'm trying to make a simple stadium chair.
So:
I make 2 profiles side and front of the chair.
With profile maker a do 2 walls.
Then i was hoping that intersection will reveal my chair.

Nothing happened, only wired things, none of them intersect my 2 walls.

What do you think i'm doing wrong?

Thx</T>

You may have more luck if you save one of the walls as a library part first, SEO as you were before, then put one on a hidden layer.

When you cross two walls with complex profiles on plan, one will have priority over the other and will automatically cut itself away. Saving one (or both) as library parts removes the priority based auto cutting.

Don't forget that the plan view will not be correct either as SEOs don't show on plan. The way around this may be to save the whole chair as a library part afterwards and add in a nice 2D view to the script.

My cheeky 5 minute proof of concept below! I think yours may look better than mine!

All you need to do to is make sure your walls are on different layers with different intersection priority numbers. That way they won't be cancelling each other out before you do your SEO.
Did you make sure the walls were on different layers and those layers had different intersection numbers (via the layer dialog)?

The only reason I ask, is because it works here first time every time, as it should. And you can do it simply with walls.

Cheers,
when i was happy with my final object, i find another annoying problem!

i save the object from top view.
and i copy the object to another computer.

and i get an gdl error.

the final saved object has references to the objects i've saved to generate the intersection.

so i need all 3 objects to see the final one!!

what's wrong??

i attach the final saved object.

Thank you for support.
