<T>Im trying to add trim to a tapered square column. I made the column out of a slanted wall. Now I want to apply some trim to the flat/slanted sides of the columns. I can make the trim pieces with no problem, but cant figure out how to make it slant like the column does. I can apply the trim in 2d later, but was trying to model as much as I could on this particular project. Im using AC11 and am a fairly new user. (only a couple months). any suggestions on how to do this? Hope I made my question clear enough too....
Thanks ahead...
Possibly use more slanted walls or use the roof tool to make
sloped slabs as trim.
Peter,
That method would work fine if the trim was just square. I want to use a decorative moulding. I have made some using the complex profiles but cant figure a way to slant it to match the slant of the columns. Thats my dilema.
Can't you tilt the complex profile fill to the wall tilt?

Better yet, make the wall and trim together as a unified complex profile.

Paul,
From what you have said I envision an obelisk shaped
column with trim but I don't know what kind of trim
and how it is oriented.
I wish we could see what exactly you are trying to do.
Could you give some kind of sketch ?
Thanks,
A fairly easy way would be to draw the trim on a flat projection, using slabs, beams, or whatever, save as a library object, then use the free ArchiRotate from Cigraph to tilt. A more tedious approach would be to use tiny roofs.

Did not know about ArchiRotate. Am getting it now. That certainly should be the easiest way to accomplish this. Thanks for the info.
