topic Composite Structures dialog question in Modeling

<T>Using AC 8.1

When creating a composite structure (see attached image) I see that there is the concept of an internal line used to visually separate the different materials. These lines (in the image they are solid lines) can be toggled 'off' by highlighting the Solid Line in the composite window and then checking the Hide checkbox lower down on the form.

Is there any way to totally suppress the item 'Solid Line' from displaying inside the composite window?

Also, the help on what the exact differences between the Add Skin and Insert Skin buttons is rather skimpy. Does anyone have a clear description of when to use one vs. the other?

For those who are curious about my naming scheme, IWW4S2S5/8 translates to:
IW - interior wall
W -wood (S = steel stud)
4 - 4" nominal stud size
S2S - skinned two sides (S1S = skinned one side, S0S = skinned no sides)
5/8 - 5/8" thickness both sides (asymetrically skinned would be 1/2-5/8 )

Thanks
Insert skin adds a copy of a skin next to the one selected and then you can make the appropriate adjustments.
Add skin , adds a similar skin (of the one selected) to the bottom of the stack. This way going from the middle of a composite outwards (to be more precise upwards) you can add skins symmetrically to the core of the composite.
