<R>When I copy text in Word X, then past into a SE window, as a picture, the format ("style" settings in Word) is changed, in ways that are unpedictable, but usually based on some previously used style settings in Word.
Anybody else experiencing this? </R>

I continue to be amazed and confused about TEXT in AC / PM... For pete's sake, GS has told us that Plotmaker is PAGEMAKER for CAD... You'd think we could get some text in there with formatting!...

OLE is crap.
Cut & Paste is OLE.

The only saving grace was Print2PICTon MAC (not available for OsX) and something I found for WinXP called e.peernet driver. I will look up the specs tomorrow at the office. but it is just what Print2PICT is but can save in ANY format conceiveable.

It's a bit pricey at around $90... and you still have to produce in Word / Excel and print. That same SINGLE SHEET printing crap applies as well.

Here's hoping [or rather "wishing"] for ACv9.0

I suppose I was hinting that this requires not only an extra step, but an extra FILE for each set of notes.... just cumbersome...

You guys ever try the screen capture process?

Using the Mac in OS X.2.8, I do it as follows.

Press down on Cmd+Ctrl+Shift+4.

This will give you a screen shot saved to your clipboard which can then be pasted into your file.

Just crop the area you want to use. No second files, No other drivers to deal with using or buying.

True, the resolution is not 200 dpi. The job is done though.

Change the page setup to around 200% (use a large page format) when creating the PDF. Any exported PNG/jpg can be shrunk when importing into PM to get a good resolution

I was searching for some information regarding use of Print2Pict in MAC OS X. It sounds like there is no way to use Print2Pict with MAC OS X. Has anyone tried to use it as a "printer" extension per se in OS X?
I've been trying to migrate from OS 9.2.2, but Print2Pict was a staple for producing my construction documents in ArchiCAD 6.5. It is such an important tool, that I've postponed migrating to ArchiCAD 8.1 or 9.0 because of this.
SURELY someone out there knows how to get Print2Pict to work in OS X??? Has anyone contacted the original shareware writer of Print2Pict to see if they know how to do this?
Print2Pict was/IS such a beautiful little piece of shareware. Sounds like a lot of people would be aided by this being able to be used in MAC OS X!!!!!!!!!

I just copied and pasted a seven page word doc into PM 9 in one go using the RTF paste option. All formatting is preserved save a table which comes in without cell borders. Only problem is it's a single huge text block and there's no way to convert it to neat columns that will fit a D sized sheet. I need to play with formatting options on the word side. It's also easy to paste from Excel, just copy the cells you want and paste using the Drawing element option. All the cell borders come in as lines, cell content as individual text blocks. No need for third party utilities.

That said, I would like to be able to import formatted documents like you can a pmk or jpg with PM able to update after changes. Forget MS and OLE. Just teach PM to open RTF and PDF files.
