iChat
plays nice, yes
notfication, yes
shortcut to jump or bring iChat to the front - yes
AFAIK does not work in Leopard
is there anyway of disabling stacks?

Nope, but you don't need to keep folders in the dock, and for the pictures you can add a file to be the top of the list. Anyway, Apple did drop the ball on the preview of the stacks.

Quick Review
Translucent Bar - Like
Dock - On the bottom hidden as always
QuickView - Like
Coverflow in FInder - like
Spaces - Like
Time Machine - Automatic backups with no overhead or hassle, it sounds too good to be true and up to now it is too good.
Browse Network - Improved

Final veredict - No regrets would hate going back to 10.4. If you can do without you can since there is nothing that will WOW you but all the little improvements by themselves look minor but together they are pretty nice. 10.5 can be summarized as a "power user" or "developer" upgrade, regular people might not be impressed.

I've committed a couple machines to Leopard for testing ahead of other users, but for many there is no need to move so quickly.
