we have some with 200 sections, 200 elevations, 300 details..... the files sizes get big, but the file performance is not bad.

Too many Sections?

<T>Hi.

I think I find that if I have too many (Maybe 10 or more) section markers in my model it seems to slow it down.

I have my con doc sections and markers but then I usually also have a bunch of extra markers that i just mve all over the plan that I call Working Sections.

It seems to me that when I get to omany of them the regen time becomes longer.
Has anyone else noticed this or am I just crazy?

Thanks.</T>

A large number of Markers (specifically, the Viewpoints that they create) will slow down regen -- but 10 is not a large number -- the Big Building Whitepaper says the number of S/E and Detail Viewpoints should not exceed 200 (although we've had projects with well over 200).

Well, I am almost embarrased by my "large number of sections"

=)

Thanks, it must be something else then.

I've created many templates with a similar amount of S/E's and not seen any performance issues.

Cheers,
