do you mean that the railings included in "ObjectLibrary9/Building Structures/Fences and Railings" are the same ones Stairmaker makes use of?

<T>People

Let's say I create a stair from within Stairmaker and add some railing.
This stair ends to a slab that in turn leads to the main entrance door that is at the height of 1.5 m.
How can I add to the slab the same railing that I have on the stair?
The railings that Stairmaker uses are not part of the AC Library.
Thank you in advance</T>

You could include a landing in your stair that would have the same railing.

Making your own railings is so easy with ArchiCAD that I never use the ones generated by Stairmaker anyway. Learning to do this is fun and you will never have to worry about the kind of problem you listed above.

What does the stair railing you want look like? I will send you an example of how to make your own if you like.

I just wish that the railings Stairmaker uses were GDL objects so that I could use them on the landing just like the other types of railings the Library contains.

I thought they were. In Object Library 9/Concrete/Stairmaker Handrails.
You know... one of the things I love about ArchiCAD is that no matter how long you've been using it there are some things you just never think of! I've been using ArchiCAD since 1987, when it first came to the US; I think profiler has been around since TeamWork (5.5) and I use it for many things but I've never used it for a railing. I certainly will in the future.

I have, however used TrussMaker for railings and I can see that with a combination of profiler and TrussMaker you could do some amazing railings.

In International version, all the railings, StairMaker or not, are in 1.4 Building structures\Fences and railings 9

Of course, the defaults do not match the StairMaker defaults ...
Using these was discussed in the old escribe list ... I haven't tried modifying them or adding new ones myself (yet).
