Yes, I use ArchiCAd & I am (are; we aren't always known for our verbal skills) a Civil Engineer. My emphasis is structural and I work in the mostly residential field. I also do some Topographical surveying and site plan design, with ArchiTerra to be specific.

Ignacio,
While I don't have any info regarding engineers using ArchiCAD, I would like to add that it would be helpful to have a thread or a list of all US ArchiCAD based companies. It believe this list could be useful in a variety of ways: Outsourcing Partners, Job searches, etc.

Obviously Graphisoft would not be able to share this info, but interested companies could participate by voluntarily placing their company info on a thread/list if it existed.
How about all ArchiCAD based companies, not just the US? That would be quite handy...

We too are looking today for the very same list(s)

This is a global market place is it not?

In fact if there is any interest in "partnering" send us a PM
Err I guess nobody here knows of any civil or MEP engineer using ArchiCAD. Which means that probably there is not a single one.

[I only know of a couple of consultants who have recently bought licenses and are in the process of learning the program, so it is still rather early to post their contact info here.]

Well, we have ac-talker, Jay Garbarino in Truckee California. I think I've seen another engineer or two around here?

I've been doing remote (internet/phone) training of a structural engineer in San Francisco ... and Matthew Lohden mentioned on the forums that he is training an engineer, also in Northern California. These guys can decide if they want to post their names here.

So, I have to assume they are out there .. but probably not many of them. It would be interesting to find out how many...
Also, not every user reads every Archicad-Talk post. Just because no one chimed in does not mean no one knows any.

Heh, sure it doesn't *mean*. I said 'I guess nobody here knows', 'which probably means there is none'. Which so far I think are both pretty good guesses!
