I think I understand what you want now.

In the Window Selection Dialogue box in the Floor Plan tab set the window contour pen to be the same as the pen used to describe the wall contour. Then uncheck the Use Symbol Color button. You will not see the window contour lines.

By the way, I can't imagine why anyone would do this?

<T>As a work around we use the empty window object with a zero sill height, in some cases, to be able to list windows & set custom listing texts on plan. We us this method to get a correct look in plan as well as elevation. Anyway, in AC 9.0 this is no longer possible.

Eventhough the sill height is set to Zero i get lines showing the wall thickness on plan. I know that windows & doors use the Cover fill function, but how do i get rid of the lines?

Does anyone know how to fix this or is it a BUG! (Probably a feature??)

___
kind regards
I'm not entirely clear on your procedure, but you can assign any line type (dashed, dotted, etc.) or line color. If you want no lines to show, just assign a white pen.
Thanks for the reply.

If I change the line color to White & turn off the cover fill, what happens in DWG export. Will the AutoCAD user have extra lines?

Will a empty door opening work for you versus an empty window opening? This might take care of the unwanted lines.

I'm not sure why you want to do what you are doing but does this answer your question?

In the Windows Selection Settings dialogue box go to Parameters/2D Representation/Use Fills and set it to OFF.

In your plan view, select the empty opening and set the Door/Window Floor Plan Contours button as shown below. (red arrow)

I'm a new ArchiCAD 9 user and I have ran into the same problem with empty window openings showing the wall contour lines. I've gone into the Floor Plan panel in the Window Tool Settings and selected the icon for no contour line, this has no affect and the wall contour lines still appear on my plan. If this is a BUG than is there a fix?
