Maybe the problem wasnt described good... do help me out.
I want to measure(dimension tool) the distance between the corner of the house and the window opening (not the structural opening but the opening in facade). The mouse cursor grabs the houses corner but doesnt grab the windows opening while its a turned plaster...
What should I do to keep the window "detail"?

Thanx!

<T>I use composite wall (2 skins)/ windows are set into the wall for 16cm and "the turn plaster" option is turned on- so the skin outside covers part of windows frame. such is the detail.
Then we should dimension the wall- but the window can be dimensioned only structurally- the actual "hole" from outside (the facade) cant be dimensioned/ or I am wrong?

I would like to dimension the facade!!! Thanx for advice!</T>

since there is no hot spot on the Turn in part of a Closure you could add one to your plan and dimension to the new hot spot.

That is possible but takes a lot of time. The bad thing is also that dimensions are then referenced to those hotspots... Afterall - is it better to draw in 2D?
