every object that is calling on your duplicated master GDL file is just letting you know that it's found a few to choose from when it's being generated! (because of the multi-libraries loaded)
you have a macro (kind of like a sub-object) missing in your library object 'sri monument2.gsm'. is this object custom built and does it contain other 'objects' that are no longer in your libraries?

do a system/network wide search to find "D Saracenic Opening" (a door part?) and make sure it's included in your loaded libraries. and sign everybody out of the project and then sign-in yourself as 'Teamleader' with 'Exclusive Access': use the library manager to assign the project libraries just once from a location on your network that ALL of your users have access to.

and as ben also said - you have a bad parameter in a lot of your door/window objects causing the 'polygon degeneration'. this is probably simply a value entered in the parameter list that falls outside of it's constraints. usually there is a double check built in to prevent this, so when you have found which parameter in which object send an email off to your tech support to have them fix up the object in the next release. it looks as though the parameter is something to do with the door/window trims because it's the trim macro that's generating the error . . . you could have a minus value in there or something . . ?

HTH and makes sense
Hi! Another newbie here with the same message but I'm afraid I'm so new that I don't follow your suggestion. I did go to Library Manager and unloaded and reloaded some Libraries but the problem returned. I'm a single user with a Demo version and would appreciate any help available on this. i.e. How to maintain the path to the libraries?

Hi Millard. Thanks for the offer of help. Your avatar looks much more friendly than mine though I must confess mine looks just like me.

I would love to know how to capture a screen shot for posting but even if I knew how, I don't believe the demo version would allow me to do it. I have been installing other items including my five button scroll trackball so have closed down and restarted a few times and now, rather than the DOS looking warning about duplicates, I get a classy looking Library Loading Report that says I have Missing/Doubles. And when I right click and paste here I was quite surprised to get the following, but that is what it says.
For a screenshot just hit the PrintScrn button (might be next to F12) on your keyboard at the appropriate time, open image editing software and paste as new image (or similar, depends on programme). This will bring in an image of your entire screen, including task bars etc. Crop it if you need to, save it, attach to post. Job done.
architeria

if you are just opening a default/brand new file without any custom objects, you shouldn't really be getting any library errors. here a screenshot of my library manager set to just include the default archiCAD 9 library. it's mac, so will look a little different, but the principle is the same: under the 'local/LAN' tab on the left hand side navigate to your archiCAD <S></S>application<E></E> directory (probably something like Program Files>Graphisoft>ArchiCAD 9). in there you'll find the 'ArchiCAD library 9' directory. <S></S>without going deeping inside this directory<E></E> simply add it to the 'active libraries' well on the right hand side. you'll find that it also adds an entry for the 'Object Library 9.PLA' which is an archive library which resides in the main library folder.

this is all you need to get started using the demo. the textures that it appears you are missing also reside in this library, so i would be very surprised if you still get a missing/doubles report after following the steps above . . . unless of course you've been moving directories around manually after the installation ? )

library management is a big part of running and maintain an archiCAD office, and will make more sense with time and experience. there are plenty of threads in this forum that discuss the many ways office libraries can be structured. when the time comes use the 'search' button at the top of the page here . . .
It's got nothing to do with what programme you're running, you can take a screen shot at any time (good fun in the middle of a game).
And to post to the forum hit the browse button below message body when entering your message, find your file (must be under 256k I think) then hit add attachment. See forum FAQ's too. It's all in there.

archiben (sorry, my tongue kinda trips over the ~/)

Things seem to be back on track now. I did remove those items from the library and then close out and reboot but, to tell you the truth, my Library Manager looked just like yours. Then, when I reopened ArchiCAD, I checked the default boxes and it opened without any report or warning. I think there was something amiss in the Recent Project Settings that I was able to avoid by returning to the default.

Many thanks all. I realize I have much to learn and look forward to the adventure. And when I figure out this picture posting thing I may be dangerous.

Thanks to all of you. We were able to resolve a lot of th eerrors. Now we are getting only two errors. The first is when we open the file and the secod when we switch to 3D view.

The error message we get is:

Polygon is degenerated.
at line 577 of file wa_trim_us 81.gsm.
Polygon is degenerated.
at line 577 of file wa_trim_us 81.gsm.

i don't have the US library, so i can't delve into this object and see which parameter is being worked on at line 577 - maybe a US user could look into this and post?

as far as what's happening: this is a library part - most likely a window - that calls another library part (a 'macro') as a part of the script that generated it. the macro it's calling 'wa_trim_us 81.gsm' is responsible for generating the trims around that window. i would expect that somewhere in your project you have a couple of windows with their trims turned on, yet the parameter values you have entered for those trims are 'bad' (like a negative number or something).

if nobody using the US library replies to this, e-mail me your project zipped and in archive format (File>Save As... and choose 'ArchiCAD Archive Project' as the file format) to the address in my signature below and i'll have a look . . .
