You'll see me complain about it a lot, but I really do like it. There are just some things that are missing that really bug me, but the things that are added are really nice.

I am using now since two days AC 10 full version.
You need time to be friend with AC 10.
It looks quite new compared to AC 9.
Helpline is very nice to work, generally very comfortable to input measure.

3D open GL... you need time...it is ok...good...maybe nice.
Manager system...you need time...but very nice

Sloped wall....you can use, if you need.

You will love AC10.
With AC9 you can do job, with AC10 much better

I also like ArchiCAD 10 a lot.
I think intergrated PlotMaker and the fact that Projects running in separate ArchiCAD instances can be aware of each other is really nice.
Also, generation and especially update of schedules, sections etc. is much faster.
I like the 3D Window Navigation a lot. Just like in a game, much more intuitive.
Guide Lines, pre-selection highlight are also very nice.
Multiple-story elements and their correct 2D Representation is also very helpful and can save a lot of time.
There's probably a lot more...

I know Archicad 9.0 is very slow in elevation/section regenerations, which is frustrating most of the sometimes.

... and just think 9 was more than twice as fast as 8.1 was!

I would say rather that we keep adding more to the elevations such as detailed cornices and casings, full 3D fills on all elevated surfaces, vector shadows, and now color shading in AC10, so that it takes as long as we can stand to get as much done as possible.

ArchiCAD has been getting steadily (and dramatically) faster over the years. We used to wait longer to get simple line drawings so that we could painstakingly add fills and details that are now automatic. (Though I have to admit it was a bit painful generating elevations in 8.0/8.1 on the Mac.)

whining is another thing. Archicad 10 is certainly worth the upgrade.
It definately does. If you asked the same question about v9 the answer would be definately no. But 10 does worth to be called a good upgrade

put it this way, if the only improvement to ac10 would have been the intergration of plot maker, it would have been worth to upgrade in my humble opinion...but....it has much more new things than that !!!

another thing is if all new things work or not, but that we shall see in a few weeks
