Ben,

Thanks for the help. The relevant fonts we are using are postscript not true type (from when we used ATM in OS 9 etc.). Still cannot get them to work on the Mac in question - so are going to have to buy the true type font we use for our name in the title box.

<T>We are experiencing the following difficulty with PLOTMAKER (both in Version 2.3 and in Version 3.1) on only one of the Apple Mac's on our network.

We use the 'Solex' font in our title box.

In Plotmaker 2.3, the 'Solex' characters appear on the screen, though the text looks 'bolder' and squarer than is normal for this font.

In Plotmaker 3.1, some but not all of the 'Solex' characters appear on the screen, and seem to be correct.

In both versions of Plotmaker the 'Solex' characters do not appear on the plotted drawing.

In other software, e.g. 'Microsoft Word', Solex characters print normally.

We have tried reinstalling the fonts, but with no effect.

The problem does not occur on any of the other Mac's on our network - and the installation appears to be the same in all cases.

Can you offer any advice?</T>

andy

is your font installed for ALL users of the machine: ./Library/Fonts/
or for just one user: ./Users/<username>/Library/Fonts/

have you also used font book (Applications/Font Book) to 'resolve differences'?

i'd be interested to know what you come up with on these . . .
