Sounds like you are trying to manipulate the detail marker.

If you go to View> On-screen View Options> Detail Boundary and make sure it is checked, you will see the detail boundary as well as your detail marker on the screen. It is the detail boundary that you want to stretch, and the marker should fit to it, depending on the Marker settings.

Cheers,
Stretch / Resize Detail Box

<R>What's the trick to stretching/resizing a detail box?

It only seems to move NOT resize.

The only time the stretch command is even visible in the pet palette is when I select the box at a radius corner, but then the stretch just changes the radius NOT the entire box size.

Have I lost my mind?! This should be so simple but I can't figure it out.

P.S. Working in AC 10 (Build 1188).</R>

Thanks for the tip, but it has NO effect on the stretchability.

There's gotta be something else to this?

There are two sets of selection dots. The outermost (black) dots and the inner ones (on the corner of the radius corners). The outermost don't show a stretch option in the pet pallet and in the inner ones only stretch the radius.
