topic Newbie question: walls and materials in Modeling

<T>Hi there!

I'm trying to learn ArchiCAD and I have few (basic) questions:

1) How do I specify a wall material within some zone/room? For example I wanted to have a specific ceramic tile in all bathroom zone walls (internal).

2) Assume that I have a straight and continuous wall going through points A-B-C; How do I tell Archicad that from A to B there should be a brick wall and from B to C a plaster wall?

Until now I've created separate walls and defined materials to each of them. There must be some more convenient way to handle the materials?

Thanks for your answers in advance!

Best regards,
