<T>I'm having a weird problem - when I copy something using Ctrl + C, ArchiCAD crashes. It doesn't matter what I'm copying - a hotspot, some text, or an entire building. It doesn't seem to happen when I use the 'Edit > Copy' menu command.

This only seems to happen if I haven't done a manual save (as opposed to an autosave). So if I remember, I do a manual save as soon as I open a new drawing, which is a bit of an annoying workaround for a fairly basic operation.

Any one experienced this? Is it a known problem?</T>

This is a strange problem, especially being sensitive to how the command is initiated. It sounds like something peculiar to your set up (I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem). Do you have access to another computer? Does it happen on that one as well?

Tom, you might want to check out this thread.

<LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... orer#38698">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=38698&highlight=explorer#38698</LINK_TEXT>

Your machine may not be crashing but simply locking up.
If that's the case this will help.

Still I don't know of a real solution to avoid it.

Thanks Barry,
I meant freeze, not crash

I've reinstalled Archicad, and followed the startup editing suggestions and things seem to be working fine now.

I wonder if this problem happens on Macs.

Cheers,

I haven't seen it on any Macs, but then I haven't seen it on any Windows machines either. It seems to be an unusual problem.
