topic scale 2D layout on one axis only? in Modeling

<T>I have merged a DWG file as a background for an existing Ground Floor. (It's not placed, because I need to clean-up text, etc.) Upon comparison to a dimensioned structural drawing I notice it is out of proportion. I understand how to scale in AC10 with Edit/Reshape/Resize, but that seems to work only with the proportions locked. Is there a method to scale on one axis only.

Thanks
Sounds awful, but I think the only way is to save (or open?) the DWG as a library part. Then you would be able to use the Length/Width parameters to stretch it in one direction (as long as the lock is not active). Not very graphical, but the good news is that you can then explode it and have everything on one layer (assuming that's desirable in your case)!

Cheers,
Thanks
I'll give it a try. One layer might be suitable, It's just a reference drawing. It will have to look decent, I'll need to use it for coordination if not presentation.
