hidden line for overhead slabs

<T>I am a reasonably experienced AC user but have a problem so simple that I'll probably get very sad looks from most of you.

I have trouble finding a settings that show over head slabs as a dotted line. Yes, I've gone through the book, have set it in preferences, etc but my upper storey slab contunues to show with a solid, rather than a dotted line. I don't remember having this problem before version 10 and it is not getting better. It also appplies to showing over head beams, although roofs seem to work OK.

Is AC getting too complicated for simple things?</T>

I can think of one possibility and that is you may
have two slabs, maybe a ceiling, as well as a floor
slab but one slab was drawn clockwise and the
other counter-clockwise and so the dashes of one
fill in the gaps of the other.
I have had the same problem on overlapping slabs. It affects walls too. I have tried changing the floor plan cut plane property, and the floor plan ans section settings for the walls to no effect.
It is driving me barmy.
Has anyone found the answer?

Do you have the slab placed in an upper storey and then set to show one storey down?
Then view the lower storey and it should appear dooted (or what ever style you set in OPTIONS > PREFERENCES).
Slabs don't have overhead pen/line settings that work with the floor plan cutting plane unfortunately.
I'm having exactly the same problem (which I swear I never had before).
- I don't have two slabs overlapped
- The Legacy preferences are set with a dash line to show above and below

...what is it?!
btw, it's a TW file I'm working on.

Cheers

As if I didn't say anything guys.
I drew another slab and it worked. Something wrong with THAT slab in particular. Even eye dropping properties into it didn't work. Had to re-draw it (magic wand of course)

Cheers and sorry for bothering.

They are a new feature introduced in AC20, so they will only work for the original poster. Sorry.
