topic Residential Compound in Modeling

<T>I'm doing a residential compound and need some tips.

I have 4 house projects that is being done in their own PLN file.

Now I want to bring everything to the site plan (separate PLN file)...what do you guys advice?

- Create objects from the houses and insert?
- Saving it in module does it work?

Any other possibility?</T>

good.. but what if the story settings are not the same?
for me i never needed plans together.so usually i save them as objects because i am just interested in 3D , but what about full documentation?

you've got a problem

You can match the story settings by adding some empty levels... Or you can try to make it an object (I'm not fond of that because it's not a live model anymore)

I see you have AC11. Use multi-story hotlinks/modules.

Even in AC10 you don't have to go to all this trouble. You can import the modules to each story and move them up and down in 3D (or section/elevation) to fit.

So, I should import the modules of each floor in four story house? Or the all the house is one module?

mm..i don't have a project right now..and i know asking about this makes no sense... but just wondering... so if i have 2 buildings A and B , in A hights are "4 m each floor " and B " 3 m Each floor "? i don't think this can be solved easily? " unless we are talking about changing FPCP ? or no.. even that won't solve the problem for elevations and 3D?

ooh... maybe i'll just wait till i have a project of that type.. or at least time to try it

Yes, of course, the FPCP can mess you up if you are using projected walls and the floor to floor discrepancies are too much to adjust for.

There is no problem in 3D (nor therefore in elevation). If the floors are on separate modules just move them up or down to fit. In AC11 the multi-story modules should take care of this automatically.

The simplest solution for the floor plans is to generate them from the individual building models and not in the master plan/site model.
