Welcome to the forum.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
1.  I suspect your grouping is suspended - look for an icon that looks like the ones in the image below (depending on how you have you work environment / tool bars etc. set up), or go to Edit&amp;gt; Grouping and deselect "suspend grouping", Alt+G by default.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
2.  Never heard of that before. &lt;BR /&gt;

A tip: Add you AC version and machine specs to your signature in your profile.</description>

      <title>Grouping and Help</title>

      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;R&gt;HI all. Our firm has very recently upgraded to ArchiCAD. We are still getting used to it, and therefore have a few questions. It is very likely that they are quite basic and obvious. Here goes:&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
1)Why does the 'Group" function not allow all objects within the group to be selected when one object is selected?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
2)And why does my 'Help' file not open in Internet Explorer, but in Word!?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Thanks for any advice, hints, etc. Slowly, but surely we are gettiing used to this program. &lt;E&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/E&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;

EDIT: found them! Suspend Groups, and the help file had been re-mapped by someone/thing.&lt;/R&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>
