You can export it as a *.3DS file from AutoCAD, then import it into ArchiCAD with the 3DS importer.
By default the 3DS importer is not loaded into ArchiCAD.
You will need to go to your tools menu----->Add-Ons manager----> Search for more add-ons-----> then brows to your goodies folder, which can be found in your ArchiCAD folder.
In the goodies folder you will find a folder called 3DStudio in.
After the initial loading of the add-on, ArchiCAD will need to be restarted, you will receive a message after you have loaded it.

Once ArchiCAD starts up again, you will find the 3DS importer under your "Extras" menu.

HTH.
Cheers.

Another possibility is to draw it wit the coordinats, but i dont know if it is possible, i need some kind of 3d trussmaker.
Kim,
You can import a DWG file, 3D or not, as a GDL object. File--->GDL Objects---->Open object. Then simply change the file type to DWG and import with the correct settings, scale etc.

Cheers.
If it is a planar truss, you do have a TrussMaker in ArchiCAD by default. Look under Extras!

The spatial trusses are "a bit" more complicated ...

It is a spatial truss. Am i in trouble then?

I have tried to import my dwg file from autocad, but all i get is a gdl object made of thin lines!!

Them i tried to convert my lines (in autocad) to solid cylinders, but then i could not convert it into a gdl object!!

Is there any other ways to do it?
