I don't think this is automatic. Just create the hole yourself; select the slab, draw the shape of the opening. Done.

I am new to AC, so I apologize for my ignorance. How do I cut a hole in the slab/floor?

DJ

It's o.k. we've all been there.

Simply select the slab, and with the slab tool active draw a shape inside the slab to create the hole. You can stretch the edges of the hole with pet pallette operations in the same way as for slab edges.

If you ever want to delete the hole, select the hole itself, not the slab edge, and delete. (make sure only the hole is highlighted, not the entire slab).

Hope this makes sense.
